It’s important to set goals, but it’s just as important to come up with a system for measuring those goals.

2. Content
Just having a website and social media account is not enough. Instead of the basic “we’ve been in business for 10 years”, quality content comes down to testimonials, past projects, photo galleries of your work, and even frequently asked questions. People want to be convinced that you will deliver. Make sure the visitor will benefit from your web pages, and the content matches your goal(s)

3. Tracking
It’s important to get your strategies straight, but it’s just as important to come up with your own system for measuring the effectiveness. No, we didn’t mean that in a technical way – Google has done the job for us. Google analytics is free and pretty darn good, and we recommend it. We also recommend you make sure you can track every lead that’s generated by your website.

4. Competition
In term of internet marketing Malaysia is no longer backward. You may check out your competition, how do they do it, what are their mistakes etc. This is a great way to get ideas and take stock of your own company’s online marketing efforts.

5. Improve Website
A lot of business owners love their websites, but it might not be good enough for your clients. No website is perfect, and every website can use improvement. Do not get lost in ‘syok sendiri’ state – do some research or get some opinions from the experts or at least your clients.

6. Local Listing
Get listed on your local directories. There are a few of them that do not charge. Take advantage of this and see how it goes. If your product and services are good, you won’t need to pay a dime to these directories.

7. Video & Blog
These two are quite time consuming to do, but make no mistake about it – they can really put your brand out there. They can engage customers, gaining visibility as thought leader, providing SEO benefits, and provide quality back link to your site.
